NEWS 2011 Tad is now represented by Plus One Gallery in London, UK. 2010 Solo exhibition at Winchester Galleries (Oak Bay), Victoria, BC from October 10 to 30, 2010. 2009 Tad was featured in Victoria's Vital Signs annual report (pp. 14-15), published by the Victoria Foundation. 2006 Three of Tad's paintings ("Red Table", "Yellow and Green Chairs",and "Popular Cafe") are now available as posters at art.com, published by Poems Art Publishing (Salt Lake City, Utah). Tad is now represented by Whitfield Gallery in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. 2005 Tad's latest works include "Yaletown Mercedes", "Breakfast Counter", "Laughing Buddha", and "Cafe Santa Fe". 2003 Limited edition prints of "Yaletown Jaguar" are now available (See below for details). This is Tad's very first limited edition print. Tad won The Jurors' Choice Award for "Yaletown Jaguar" at The First Annual Sidney Fine Art Show (Sidney, BC) on September 19th. Prints are available at The Village Gallery in Sidney (Tel: 250-656-3633; Fax: 250-656-3601). Tad designed the book cover for "Changing Japanese Identities in Multicultural Canada". Published by The University of Victoria's Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives, the front cover features Tad's painting "Going Home" and his illustration "Vancouver Japanese Language School, ca. 1912" is printed on the back and spine. This book also includes his semi-autobiographical article, "Urban Realism, The Traveller, and Homecoming: Reflections of An Immigrant Artist" (pp.145-156). 2002 The American Artist magazine published Tad's feature article, "Reflecting Light on Photo Realism," in the March 2002 issue (pp.46-51). 2001 Tad's painting, "Castro Theatre, San Francisco" was featured in the June/July issue of the International Artist magazine, in the section called, "Master Painters of the World: Canada Showcase" (p. 104). |
